Auto crash leads to power outage in Eastern Loudoun
Tue., May. 22 | 01:28 PM - A power outage in Eastern Loudoun on Tuesday afternoon was caused by a single vehicle crash. The driver was traveling south-bound on Potomac View Road off Route 7 and hit a utility pole. The driver was taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Approximately 2,900 customers of Dominion Virginia Power were affected by the outage, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and Dominion was working on restoring the power as of 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mon., May. 21 | 11:41 AM - Brandishing weapon May 18, 3:10 p.m. The driver of a black Ford F150 brandished a firearm at another driver after he honked his horn at them when they didn't proceed at a green light. According to reports, the victim was sitting at the intersection of Claiborne Parkway and Waxpool Road. A few minutes later, the vehicle pulled next to the victim and brandished the gun. The driver was described as a white man in his 30s.

Wed., May. 9 | 04:31 PM - Auto crash May 8, 9:58 a.m. The driver of a 2004 Chevrolet pick-up truck was injured after his vehicle struck a tree at the intersection of Route 7 and Loudoun County Parkway. Reports say Thomas R. West, 62, was airlifted from the scene to Inova Fairfax Hospital with life-threatening injuries after his truck veered to the left and entered the median before striking the tree.
