AAA Northwest Region soccer tournament
Fri., May. 25 | 06:45 AM - Broad Run defeated Woodbridge 4-1 in the first round of the AAA Northwest Region girls soccer tournament. Freedom's boys and girls teams earned first-round byes and will host quarterfinal round games May 28. Broad Run will play at Albemarle in the girls quarterfinals.

Fri., May. 25 | 06:13 AM - Broad Run High School received a bye in the first round of the AAA Northwest Region softball tournament as Cedar Run District season champions. The Spartans will host Colonial Forge in the quarterfinals May 28.
Cedar Run District softball tournament
Thu., May. 24 | 07:01 AM - The AAA Cedar Run District softball championship game between Broad Run and Battlefield has been cancelled and will not be made up. After attempting to play the game for three straight days and being postponed each time due to weather, the championship game was cancelled with the Northwest Region tournament starting May 24.

Broad Run hires Gundry as girls basketball coach
Wed., May. 23 | 03:46 PM - Sean Gundry will bring seven years of high school basketball coaching experience with him to Broad Run High School where he was recently named the Spartans' head varsity girls basketball coach. Gundry takes over the program after Chris Pasternak resigned in February after one season as head coach.

Sat., May. 19 | 06:22 AM - Freedom High School defeated Albemarle 5-2 in the Northwest Region boys tennis tournament championship match. The Eagles improved to 21-0 this season and will host a state quarterfinal match May 29.

Broad Run delays Freedom’s bid to win first district soccer title

Briar Woods wins Battle of Ashburn softball tourney
Tue., May. 1 | 10:02 AM - The defending Group AA state champion Briar Woods Falcons defeated Stone Bridge, 7-3, and Broad Run, 8-3, to win the Honda of Dulles Battle of Ashburn softball tournament April 28. The Falcons collected 26 hits to win the first annual tournament as the host school.
