Fri., May. 25 | 06:13 AM - Broad Run High School received a bye in the first round of the AAA Northwest Region softball tournament as Cedar Run District season champions. The Spartans will host Colonial Forge in the quarterfinals May 28.

AAA Northern Region softball tournament

Thu., May. 24 | 11:44 AM - Stone Bridge High School will open AAA Northern Region softball tournament play at home against Westfield in the first round May 25.

Cedar Run District softball tournament

Thu., May. 24 | 07:01 AM - The AAA Cedar Run District softball championship game between Broad Run and Battlefield has been cancelled and will not be made up. After attempting to play the game for three straight days and being postponed each time due to weather, the championship game was cancelled with the Northwest Region tournament starting May 24.

Stone Bridge’s Prince voted Liberty District’s top softball player

Wed., May. 23 | 07:41 AM - Stone Bridge High School junior shortstop Nicole Prince has been selected as the Player of the Year on the 2012 All-Liberty District softball team. Billy Rice earned Coach of the Year honors after guiding the Bulldogs to the top of the Liberty standings.

Local players, coaches selected for All-Star softball game

Wed., May. 9 | 07:54 AM - The 2012 Virginia High School Coaches Association Softball All-Star game will feature plenty of Loudoun flavor. Briar Woods' Macy Jones, Woodgrove's Allie Reid and Courtney Bogan and Park View's Samantha Thomas will play for the East squad in the July 12 game at Christopher Newport University in Newport News.
